I have been an admirer of Downhere since our college days. They are a passionate group who create a lot of great music. Only recently did I pick up their “uncut demos” and I love it. It’s fantastic because the songs don’t tend to follow the required song structure that we’ve come to expect. The music quality is great, so don’t be fooled into thinking that it was created in their living room with an old tape recorder. The lead singer does a wonderful falsetto and I am impressed with the vocals throughout. Some songs carry a beautiful mystery, and there are a few songs I don’t “get.” That’s why just keep playing it! I hope you’ll take a moment to check it out for yourself.
